From White Belts to Life Lessons — Discover What Makes ABQ Karate More Than Just a Dojo
At ABQ Karate, every student’s journey begins with more than just learning forms and techniques—it starts with building character that lasts a lifetime. Our school blends modern Kenpo 5.0 training with life skills that help students grow in confidence, discipline, and focus. We believe martial arts should shape who you are, not just how you move. That’s why our community is built on support, respect, and real transformation inside and outside the dojo.
Where Confidence is Trained, and Character is Built
At ABQ Karate, we believe martial arts is a tool for lifelong growth—not just self-defense. Our training combines the structure of Kenpo 5.0 with personalized instruction that meets each student where they are, whether they’re stepping on the mat for the first time or aiming for their next belt. Students can expect high-energy classes, patient coaching, and a welcoming community that values progress over perfection. From day one, our members are encouraged, challenged, and supported every step of the way.
Kathy Little
In Loving Memory
With deep respect and affection, we remember Kathy Little, a remarkable individual who embodied the essence of humanity. As a senior woman in the 5.0 system and a phenomenal martial artist, she left an indelible mark on our lives. Kathy, along with Dave, graciously welcomed us into their hearts and home, creating a global family. Though her transition saddens us, her spirit's beauty shall forever remain in our hearts. While we grieve in our own ways, let us cherish the memories and honor those who have given so much. I weep now, but one day, I'll find solace in smiling with love and gratitude for the privilege of knowing her. Sending love and respect to all who read this, and we shall reunite soon. Remember to embrace your loved ones and express your affection.
My love encompasses each and every one of you.
